CULTURE SHOCK by Gloria Majule

August 8, 6-9pm on Zoom and YouTube Live

When Zahra and Hawi leave Tanzania and Kenya to attend an Ivy League, they are placed in Salama House, an all-Black dorm and affinity space for Black students. Faced with deep cultural, academic and economic trials, these young women rely on their friendship, intellect and fortitude to survive a freshman year that illuminates the overwhelming reality of being Black in America.

Want to join us for the Staged Reading of CULTURE SHOCK?

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO WATCH!

Check out our interview with Culture Shock playwright Gloria Majule!

OPTION 1:  SUBSCRIBE FOR OUR SEASON

You can subscribe at the $25, $50, or $100 level and gain access to our Zoom presentation (AND the Zoom presentations of the other 5 Staged Reads in our season!). We only have space for 100 subscribers this season, so don't wait! Watching on Zoom allows you to comment, see other's comments, and participate in the post-show discussion with the playwright, actors, and director! We LOVE this option because it helps GCRep with some much needed earned income this season.

OPTION 2:  WATCH FREE ON YOUTUBE LIVE

We get it! No expendable income right now? We want you to witness this phenomenal new play. Jump on Gritty City Rep's YouTube Live at 6pm and enjoy the show!
